Who Are we?

Wendouree Car Service Centre has a broad range of expert staff to assist you with your next car Service, RWC, Tyres, Noise Testing or 4WD Trip. Our helpful front of office staff will be more than happy to answer any questions you may have and can be contacted via your preferred method here. 

The Team

Rod Smith

Rod has over 38 years mechanical experience, specialising in Toyota and 4WDs. Rod worked for Toyota for a Combination of 10 years in Ballarat and Perth. Rod worked for a couple of years in brake and clutch industry then ran his own business as a sole trader for 10 years. Rod also worked for a professional v8 super car team for 9 years, working on new car builds, special projects & race preparation. Rod opened Wendouree Car Service Centre in September 2011 and is licensed to do all mechanical servicing & repairs, brake & clutch work, EPA noise testing and Roadworthy testing. Rod also has vast experience in outback travel & trip preparation for those long outback trips.

Gary Levings

Gary is a qualified mechanic with over 47 years’ experience in the industry. Gary specialises in servicing, general repairs and Roadworthy testing. He also is qualified to do EPA noise testing. Gary also ran his own business for at least 15 years. He has worked on all types of motor vehicles and light commercial vehicles.

Steve Katopodis

Steve is a qualified mechanic with over 10 years in the industry. Steve is a licenced roadworthy inspector and specialises in all vehicle maintenance, steering, suspension, brakes, wheel alignments & tyres. His interest include performance vehicle setups. Steve is also a licenced EPA noise inspector.

Philip Dynon

Phil is a qualified mechanic with over 9 years experience in the industry. Phil comes from a motorsport and spare parts background completing a certificate in motorsport in Wodonga working and traveling with a supercar team. Phil is a licenced roadworthy inspector and has a passion for diagnostics including but not limited to common rail diesel. Phil specialises in all aspects of vehicle maintenance, diagnostics, suspension and wheel alignments & tyres. His interests include motorsport / performance setup. 4×4 travel and trip preparation.
